Zyna Mejri
Founder of the Falso platform against disinformation
Tunisian journalist and activist, founder of Falso, a platform dedicated to combating rumours and fake news on social media. Through fact-checking and media literacy, she denounces the lack of institutional transparency as a driver of disinformation and promotes critical digital education as an alternative to censorship and policing of the internet.
Bernat Aragó
Project Manager at NOVACT, supporting human rights defenders across the Mediterranean
Communicator, anthropologist and human rights activist focused on affective and gender freedoms. He has researched far-right discourse, the phenomenon of sexile, and the right to the city. At NOVACT, he leads initiatives to prevent conflict and strengthen protection mechanisms for human rights defenders throughout the Mediterranean.
Alba Tobella
Journalist and co-founder of Verificat
Head of content and lead fact-checker at Verificat, where she drives data-informed journalism to counter disinformation in public debate and on social platforms. She has served as a correspondent for Associated Press and Agence France-Presse in Colombia and Uruguay, and as a freelance reporter in Mexico. Her work includes positions at El País and publications in Univision, AJ+, Esquire, and La Vanguardia. She holds degrees in Journalism (UAB) and in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature (UB). Her focus blends rigor, storytelling, and media literacy to strengthen the public’s right to reliable information.
