A MANIFESTO CONCERT
FOR PALESTINE

Anar al contingut

The concert-manifesto x Palestine is a collective call that, through music, word, art and image, claims culture as a space of resistance and awakening, linking the reality of Palestine with the major struggles of our time.

It is a call to act, to put our bodies on the line and speak out; to refuse silence and forgetting; and to state, once again, that in Palestine the future of humanity is at stake.

A GLOBAL CALL
FROM BARCELONA

Barcelona has historically been a global epicentre of mobilisation for peace, international solidarity and the defence of collective rights. From neighbourhood organising and labour movements to major international mobilisations — from Bosnia and Sarajevo to the “No to War” protests against the invasion of Iraq, and the Volem Acollir mobilisation — the city has cultivated a deeply rooted culture of social activism.

Just a few months ago, the Global Sumud Flotilla, with participants from 44 countries, set sail from the city.

ACTxPalestine is a natural continuation of this international legacy.

CULTURE
AS A TOOL FOR
RESILIENCE

Apartheid, occupation, sustained violence, permanent surveillance systems, or, at their most extreme, genocide, aim not only at the elimination of lives, but also at the erasure of a people’s memory, identity and collective culture. In the face of this, defending, supporting and strengthening culture becomes an essential tool of resistance — a concrete way of giving meaning to the idea that culture can save us.

It is with this conviction that the proceeds of this concert will be allocated to supporting cultural spaces across Palestine.

This work will be channelled through the Palestinian Performing Arts Network (PPAN) and various independent cultural centres, ensuring that resources reach projects and collectives directly, while minimising intermediaries. The entire process will be subject to an external and independent audit to ensure transparency and the traceability of all contributions.

Support via the Zero Row

If you can’t attend the manifesto concert but still want to support it, you can make a contribution through the zero row.

Support
ACTXPALESTINE is driven by Palestinian organisations working in human rights, humanitarian aid and culture, together with European peace-building networks and Catalan organisations. It promotes a collective response aimed at reconstruction, humanitarian assistance, and ending impunity, apartheid and occupation.
