Call to action

Now it's the moment!

This is a crucial moment as the world begins to awaken. Every day, more people choose to break the silence and raise their voices against the genocide in Gaza, recognizing that only collective efforts and actions can end Israel’s impunity and support Palestinian liberation.

In the face of mass killings, illegal occupation, starvation, forced displacement, and apartheid, we must act to pressure those who, through their complicity, allow inhumanity to prevail and spread.

The undersigned movements and organizations call upon social movements, grassroots collectives, trade unions, NGOs, community organizations, artistic groups, academic institutions, cultural workers, foundations, and all people of conscience across Europe — to defend fundamental human rights and join forces to stop the European Union and its member states’ military complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza and other international crimes committed by Israel against the Palestinian people across various geographies.

The solidarity movement can no longer remain a bystander while European governments supply weapons and military technology used to perpetrate genocide. The time for statements and symbolic gestures is over. We, civil society, have the power to make a difference. Together, we can achieve much more.

On November 14 and 15, 2025, we, as a collective fighting for justice for the Palestinian people, will gather in Barcelona to launch a campaign intended to have historic significance and immediate impact — compelling European states and the European Union to:

1/

Apply comprehensive sanctions and impose a total arms embargo on Israel. Measures must include prohibiting the provision or transfer of weapons to Israel, as well as preventing the transit, docking, and servicing of vessels in any port where there is a clear risk that the vessel may be used to transport weapons to Israel.

2/

Reinstate anti-apartheid measures and end complicity with Israel’s illegal occupation by reviewing all public contracts to ensure that public institutions and funds are not used to sustain it. Fulfill international legal obligations by ensuring accountability for crimes and supporting the execution of arrest warrants under universal jurisdiction.

3/

Respect legal obligations regarding the Palestinian people’s right to protection, inherent in the right to self-determination, as established by international law and the ICJ’s Advisory Opinion on the illegality of the occupation and the relevant UN General Assembly resolutions.

We call on civil society and grassroots groups to pressure states to impose a total arms embargo on Israel, end all economic ties with its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory — including East Jerusalem — and stop any trade that sustains Israel’s illegal and criminal activities. We must act to end the occupation, dismantle Israel’s colonial apartheid regime, and increase collective pressure to stop the genocide and allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.

The Palestinian people need meaningful solidarity and effective protection, and we have a responsibility to make their voices heard, amplify them, and work toward their collective right to self-determination, the return of Palestinian refugees, and justice.

We invite not only those already on the frontlines against injustice but also those who are weary of pain and paralysis to rise together.

Let us reclaim the collective strength and spirit of the peoples of the Mediterranean and stand up against one of the greatest injustices we have witnessed in our recent history.

This is a call to action.
